Product Area: Other Technical Area: DECS - DECS Platform: Cross Platform
SPR# DMAE483MT4 - Browser users accessing a database via DECS with Author access received error "Cannot update or delete the document since you are not listed as an allowable author for this document"
Technote Number: 1088256

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Domino 4.6.6 and 5.0.2.
Customers needing to set the ACL default to Editor or greater in the DECS Admin
database should upgrade to these versions or later.
The error occurs because the Administrator database of DECS requires at least
Editor access for default. The error can be misleading, because it indicates
insufficient rights in the Agent Manager section of the Server document.
To work around the issue, add the user "Lotus Notes Template Development/Lotus
Notes" to the Access Control List (ACL) and give it at least Editor access.Supporting Information:
Another error message that can be returned on the server console when "Lotus
Notes Template Development/Lotus Notes" in the ACL is not set as Editor (and
default is no access) is as follows:
"Addin: Agent error message: Notes error: you are not authorized to perform
this operation."
